The professor said you can write on anything! She and I talked and came up with a paper on the social class structure of India and how it might be changing. She was born in India but came to the U.S.when she was very young. I told her to tell her professor about her topic and make sure it's acceptable. I thought he would have been helpful to his students (this was an introductory course in Sociology) to give them some topics to chose from.
